FLOCKS INCREASE.
ANNXTAL SHEEP RETURNS. INCREASE OF 357,038. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter, i WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The number of sheep in the Dominion at April 30 last was 24,904,993, as compared with 24,547,955 for the previous year, an increase of 357,038. The totals now are: —South Island, 11,574,743; North Island. 13.330,250. The numbers in the different districts are: Auckland, 2,244,603; Napier-Gis-borne, 6,236,211; Wellington-West Coast, 5,349,436; Marlborough - Nelson - Westland, 1,353,075; Canterbury - Kaikoura, 4,971,322, Otago, 4.750,346.
