HAND CRUSHED BY PILE DRIVER.

Mr. Ernest .Hilford, a Public Works Department's "employee, had a hand badly crushed in a pile driver at Pukehuia yesterday, and wae brought to the Whangarei Hospital for treatment. SUDDEN DEATH. . William George Hoar, 57 years of age, a resident of Masterton who had been undergoing medical treatment for some time for heart trouble, was walk* ing with his wife this evening in Constable Street, Wellington, ■ when he collapsed and died. The child had been missing from his home since Thursday.
