FIGHTING AND DRINKING.
MAN AND HIS WIFIC.

A fight in Cashel Street between a man and his wife resulted in William Percival Old facing the magistrate this morning charged iwth fighting Cecilia Old in a public place. Senior Sergeant Martin said the police hoped shortly to be able to deal with the woman. Old said that he was trying to get his wife home. "She wouldn't come," he said, "but wanted mc to shout her a drink instead. 1 would not, as she is prohibited. , ' The sergeant said that accused had been here only a short while. Chief Detective Gibson: He's been here three weeks, and that's three weeks too long. The sergeant said that Old had been drinking. Mr. Gibson: He does nothing else. A fine of £2, m default seven days' imprisonment was imposed, an application for time in which to pay refused. °
