Arising out of a collision on the Rotorua-Te Puke road between a taO car containing a party of Maoris, including a bride and bridegroom, returning from a wedding in Rotorua, and » service car, a civil action came beiore Mr. W. G. C. Kenrick, S.M.. when G. * T. Smith, taxi driver, sued Gordon P* caithly, service car driver, for £9" l-Z'J damages. Defendant counter-claimed for £78 16/. Judgment was given for plaintiff *° r £92 12/2 and costs on the claim au4 also on the counter-claim, with costs.
