THE HAULAGE RECORD
10,246 TONS IN.A WEEK.
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star. ,, ) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. During the week ended June 26, the gross tonnage hauled through the Otira Tunnel from west to east amounted to 10,346 tons, which constituted a record since the opening of the tunnel in August, 1923. The next highest tonnage, which was handled last week, amounted to 9918 tons.
