FIRE AT OTAKEO.
OLD LADY'S TIMELY RESCUE. DWELLING DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. A fire at Otakeo, between Tapu and Kerita, on Saturday,- -destroyed the sixroomed residence of Mrs. Wenzlick, the whole of the contents- also being lost. The insurance were £200 on the building and £100 on the furniture. The cause is unknown: Mrs. Wenzlick, who is 77 years of age, was rescued just in time by her grandson, the only other occupant, who was awakened by the noise of the fire at a time when it had complete possession of the building.
