OFFICERS ELECTED.

PALMERSTON NORTH, Thursday.
At the annual conference of the North Island Agricultural and Pastoral Associations the following officers were elected:—President, Mr. Conway (Manawatu); vice-president, Mr. Stuckey (Dannevirke) treasurer, Mr. Johnson (Manawatu); committee, Messrs. Dermer (Feilding), Brown (Horowhenual, Furly (Wanganui), Sandilands (Feilding), Booth (Masterton), James (Masterton), Buchanan (Dannevirke), and Grant (Taranaki).
A deputation was appointed to interview the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. O. J. Hawken, regarding the decision of the Government not to allow mental hospital stock to be exhibited.
