VAN HITS LORRY.
BOTH VEHICLES DAMAGED.
COURT PROCEEDINGS PENDING.
(By Telegraph— Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, this day. A collision betwen a motor fish-van and a stationary lorry took place yesterday evening in lower Cameron Street, just opposite Senior-Sergeant O'Grady's house.
The impact was Etevere, the lorry being swung round, the front wheel torn off at the hub, and the axle and radius rods damaged. The fish-van's radiator was also smashed, and the engine damaged. The driver of the fish-van was taken into custody by the senior-sergeant, and was subsequently released on bail. The matter will be ventilated in the court to-morrow.
