Tbe demand for unbroken land in the Morrinsville district appears to be fairly keen. A block at fiako was offered for saie recently and it was not long before all sections, with one exception, were sold, the price ranging from £10 to £12 an acre lor land that is mostly unbroken. Following the recent wet spell experienced in Auckland, Grafton Bridge now presents a 'condition of disrepair that sadly needs attention. Potholes are everywhere in evidence along the length of the bridge and are geting bigger each day they are left to the heavy wheels of constant traffic. The real trouble arises when rain fills the holes, as it is then that pedestrians must suffer at the expense of motorists, some of whom seem to take pleasure in driving as close as possible to the kerb and shooting water over the passersby.
