■ > MR. JOHN LITTLE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. The death has oeeured at Omihi Valley of Mr. John Little, the well-known pastoralist and breeder of stock. MR. JAMES BARRETT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA. this day. At the age of 93, Mr. James Barrett, one of the first settlers of Paeroa, died on Tuesday evening. A native of Ireland, he arrived in the Australian gold diggings 65 years ago, and then came Jto the Hokitika and Thames fields in Sew Zealand. For the past 20 years he bad been engaged in farming.
