OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN Friday. The Otago provincial croquet championships were concluded to-day in wet weather. Results of the finals were :— Handicap Doubles.—Mrs. Gascoigne arid Sirs. Passmore beat Mrs. Rhodes Williams and Mrs. Dixun, 26 —20. Handicap Singles.—Mrs. Gascoigne beat Mrs. Osborne, 2G— 24. Championship Singles.—Mrs. Horn beat Mrs. Manhire", 26—16. Mrs. iHorn won the championship for the third time in succession. . . TARANAKI TOURNAMENT (By Telegraph.—Press Association.)" Play in the .championship singles of the Hamilton croquet tournament was continued to-day In slightly showery weather. Mrs. Higsrins won section A, with 4 wins and no losses, and Mrs. White went through section B also without loss. In the semi-flnal, Mrs. , White defeated Mrs. Hijrgins by l>B to 25. ' Mrs. Coutts and Mrs. Moorhouse tied In section C, with one loss each. In the play-off Mrs. Coutts defeated Mrs. Moorhonse by 26 to 5.
