HOLIDAY ACCIDENTS.
THROWN FROM HORSE.
STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR.
VICTIMS STILL UNCONSCIOUS. Two serious accident cases were admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday. Through his horse stumbling, Mr. Walter Lisle Tyo, aged 21, of Sunny Brae Eoad, Takapuna, was thrown heavily and sustained a fracture of the skull. The injured man was returning to Takapuna from Silverdale, when the horse lie was riding stumbled and threw him to the ground. He was unconscious when admitted to the hospital, and was still in that state at a late hour to-day. An X-ray examination will be made as soon as possible. His condition is reported to be serious. Suffering from severe head injuries caused through being knocked down by a motor car, Mr. W. Paterson. of Awene Road. Birkenhead, was admitted to the hospital last evening. He was still unconscious at a late hour to-day. The hospital authorities report that Mr. James Sanders, who received a fracture of the skull through falling from the steps of the Xewmarket railway station on Thursday, is still unconscious.
