CURE FOR DIABETES?
PROFESSOR'S CI.AIM. ALBUMEN INJECTIONS. LONDON, January 2. Professor Gustav Singer, of Vienna, claimß that he has discovered a cure for diabetes. Jt is baser! on nucleo-protein and other albumen injections, and he claims that hi will ensure more lasting effects than insulin, ■which is necessary only in desperate cases. i Referring to Professor Singer ? e claim, a specialist said that the professor waa known to most doctors. His was evidently not a r specific cuie, and apparently was nnly successful in mild cases. Sufferer? from diabetes would he well advised not to entertain any extravagant hopes, Tnsulin hart, justified the hopes of Dr Banting. It restored to the blood tht ferment which was missing- in diabetes It was difficult to see.how this could b< even partially replaced by injections o' the type described in Professor Singer'i claim.
