THE AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I read with interest in your issue of Saturday an article on the judging oT stock at the' Agricultural Show. It -would certainly be a great improvement to have two or more judges, and I am sure if this method was adopted by the authorities in the stock and also'the horticultural shows, there would be a noticeable increase in the number of entries. Another thing I wish to draw attention to is the want of supervision during the staging oi blooms. Tt is certainly not a fair thing to the exhibitors who have their entries tastefully arranged early for late arrivals to be allowed to come in at about five minutes before judging time and upset exhibits already staged. Also, i 3 it fair competition for people who employ two or three experienced gardeners, to exhibit against the small man. who makes horticulture his spare-time hobby?—l am, etc., FAIR PLAY.
