WATERSIDERS ON STRIKE.
PHOSPHATE FROM NAURU, ffiy Telesiaph.—Press Association.i NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The watersiders, after working the phosphate cargo ot the steamer Cutcomb from Nauru for about two hours this morning came out demanding 2/10 per hour instead of 2/7., the award rate, on account of the dirty nature of the work. The matter was referred to Wellington. -Meantime the steamer is idle, though the fertiliser works are waiting for the phosphate to commence operations.
