In response to a request that work on the bends on the Raglan deviation should be undertaken as soon as possible tho engineer of the Raglan County Council advised the Hamilton branch of the Automobilo Association last evening that ho had submitted plans and specifications for improvements to the Highways Board, but so far had received no authority from them. Dr. Waddell mentioned that he had approached the chairman of the Raglan County Council and offered on behalf of a number of motorists who used the road frequently during summer £5 each towards the cost of cutting back the sharper corners. The Highways Board had, however, failed to take action vet, and the speaker had nothing to do "but to hand the donors back their money.
