A FRIENDLY ACT. RERUN. December 1. The Belgian Legation announces that the Belgian Government has decided to discontinue* the trials of alleged war criminals. The reasons given arc the difficulty of continuing tbe trials after the lapse of so many years and the heavy expense entailed by instituting*, the trials. Another reason is that after the Locarno conference thc=c trials would bp an unnecessary obstacle to tbe desired itnnroveinent in the relations between Belgium and Cermanv. — (Reuter.)
