INDIAN COTTON DUTY
PROPOSED ABOLITION. LONDON, December I. Lancashire members of the House of Commons express the opinion that the decision of the Indian Government to abolish the cotton excise duty will inflict a serious blow on the cotton industry in England. They consider, however, that no effective protest will be possible from Britain.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
