COMMONWEALTH TARIFF.

ALARM IN ENGLAND. LONDON, September 10. The "Daily Express" says that the Australian tariff is causing consternation among a section of the textile industry. A representative of a cotton tweed firm said the new duties would put up the prices of his firm's goods in Australia nearly 100 per cent.
