THE FRENCH IN SYRIA.
POSITION SAID TO BE NORMAL. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, Septembef 10. The Paris correspondent of the "Times" states that there is little news regarding Syria, where a National* Government is reported to have been proclaimed. The French Government confines itself to issuing denials of further disturbances, reaffirming that the situation is perfectly j normal. The only information vouchsafed shows that the French aeroplanes are I engaged, by means of bombs and machine gun lire, preventing the Druses from dangerously attacking the Sueida garrij son.— ("Times.")
