TELEGRAPHIC ENTERPRISE.
OFFICE ON EDEN PARK. For the convenience of the public a telegraph office will be established on the ground at Eden' Park to-morrow afternoon, whence ordinary and Press messages may be sent without loss of time. A circuit is also being established for the occasion between Eden Park and Athletic Park in Wellington, and it is hoped to display the scores as they occur in the Wellington-Otago game at Wellington, as well as those of the NewSouth Wales-Poverty Bay game at Gisborne. Similar information will be posted at Athletic Park in respect to the Auckland and Gisborne matches. The arrangement, as well as enabling the public to be given immediate information as stated, will enable the telegraphed Press reports of the games to be dispatched much more promptly than has hitherto been the case, and "it will also facilitate the dispatch of early messages by members of the public." The scheme is being tried at the instance of the Department's secretary, Mr. Markman, and the Prime Minister, with a view to making similar arrangements of the kind general at all big gatherings for the purpose of extending the Department's business.
