ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. The sixth annual Rotorua golf tournament will commence on Tuesday next. The Arikikapakapa links are at present in fine condition, and with favourable weather conditions some good golf should be witnessed. Amongst those who have already entered for the championship are Messrs.. J. B. Lusk, H. L. Rees, J. B. Macfarlane, J. R. Blomfleld and T. Blomfleld (Auckland), Messrs. Goss, Saunders and Powdrell ("Wanganui), H. Hewlett (Christchurch), and Dr. Howden (Waiuku). The present champion, A. Duncan (Wellington) will not defend the title. SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURNEY. BELL AND O'CALLAG'IIAN TIIE FINALISTS. BETTER WEATHER CONDITIONS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The semi-finals did not produce anything great in the way of good golf; one game was remarkable for the number of stymies, and the other for two remarkable long putts sunk by the winner. Bell, in the game against Ralph, did not do too well for a start, and was two down at the seventh. Then he seemed to strike form and gradually ' took control, winning by four and three to go. Ralph was not putting well at all, and lost some certain shots by missing ISm putts. The other game, between O'Callaghan. of Hawera. and Simpson, of Hamilton, was niuc-h closer, and was in doubt up to the last. hole. The first-named won two up, and played the steadier golf right through. Simpson was rather nervy, aud well he might be so when his opponent lirst sank a 40ft putt, and then, at a critical moment, sank a 23ft one. Iv the St. Andrews match Ilemus beat Morton. 5 and 4, Browu accounting for Entwistle. 1 up. , The finals will be played to-day over 36 holes. •
