N.S.W. RUGBY TEAM. INCLUSION OF GREATOREX. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, this day. The inclusion of Greatorex in the New South Wales Rugby team, arriving in New Zealand on Monday, has caused a stir in Rugby Union circles. Greatorex is suffering from a fractured thumb, and will be unable to play in the earlier matches, and perhaps not at all. Members of the Medical Board who act in honorary capacity are understood to have resigned as a .protest. The secretary refused to confirm or deny the resignations.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)

QUEENSLAND LEAGUE TOUR. THE NEW ZEALAND DATES. (Received 12 noon.) BRISBANE, this day. Following are the fixtures for the Queensland League team's tour of New Zealand: — . They will leave for Auckland on September 1.

The first Test at Auckland will be on September 5. The match against Auckland will be played at Auckland on September 9, and the second Test at Auckland on September I_.

The match against South Auckland will be played on September 16, and the one against Canterbury at Christchurch on September 19. The match against West Coast will be played at Greymouth on September 23, and that against Otago at Dunedin on September 26, and against Wellington at Wellington on September 30. The professional cricketers, Tate and Bowley, in a first-wicket partnership, made 193 runs. Tate scored a brilliannt century in 80 minutes. He hit one six, one five, and 17 fours. In the women's international team matches for the V, T ightman Cup, in the firft match, Miss Kathleen McKane defeated Mrs. Mallory, 4—4, 5—7, 6—o. Both players appeared evenly matched in the first two sets, but in the last the English girl outdrove and outplayed the American. Miss Helen Wills brought the matches to a tie. defeating Miss Joan Fry, 6—o, 7 5. In the first set Miss Wills had Miss Fry completely at her mercy. In the second set the English sirl solved the difficulty by a hard driving attack, and Miss Wills was forced to resort to a softer pace. Miss Fry led 4 —love, a thrilling come-back only allowing Miss Wills two points in the first four games by using long driven placements to the base line.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
