THE AMERICAN FLEET.
WILL BE AT AUCKLAND. FROM AUGUST 7 TO 24. At the meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board this afternoon a letter was received from the Department of Internal Affairs pointing out that a portion of the United States Fleet would be visiting Australia and New Zealand in July and August next, the visit to Auckland covering from August 7 to 24. The letter also stated that legislative p-ovV ! ion would be made to validate any c ture that might be incurred by the Uv/ard in connection with the visit.
