LATEST BRITISH TRIUMPH. FASTEST IN THE WORLD. LONDON", April 7. The new British submarine XI will shortly set out upon her test cruise, probably to Singapore. The vessel's earlier defects have been overcome. Her roomt speed trials revealed that she is the fastest craft in the world either afloat or under water. Owing to her superstructure and gun turrets, the XI hae been dubbed "the undersea dreadnought." She has cost to date £800,000.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
