IMPROVEMENT IN TONE. BEST RATES OF THE SERIES. SYDXEY, March 17. The wool sales ended to-day. There was keen competition, and bidding .vns brisk fo" all descriptions of Meiinos. The market generally was decidedly firmer, anil showed much more stability compared with opening reef. ,'lreasv Merinos sold to 3G'J.— (A. and N.Z.) FIRM PRICES AT HOME. GOOD COMPETITION IN LONDON LONDON, March 17. At tbe London wool sales yesterday there was good competition for Merinos and crossbreds. Prices were firm. A New Zealand clip, "CM.,"' sold at from 25£ d to 231 d. The Bradford tops market is quiet, but there is a slightly improved feeling for Merinos.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
