MOW YORK, January 27. lioudini, the "'Handcuff King" and magician, declares that, he contemplates taking legal action against Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as the result of attacks by Sir Arthur in an article in tbe Boston '"Herald." The article complained of was a reply to Houdini's criticism of the Boston medium, "Margery." whose genuineness the magician questioned. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle defended Ihe medium, whom lie visited during hia American travels. lioudini has repeatedly declared that his 3.) years' experience in the investigation of mediums has never revealed a genuine spiritual manifestation.
