EXCHANGE RATE RECOVERY.
CANADIAN BORROWING. OTTAWA. February 4. The recovery of the exchange rate for the pound sterling will reopen the London money market to Canadian financing, and probably the Dominion will try to obtain more of its loan money in I/ondon in future. Before the war Canada did practically all her outside financing on the London market. The depreciation of the pound sterling, however, made it necessary for her to go to New York. Canada is now making arrangements in London to replace a loan of £5,000.000, which is maturing nt the middle of this month, with six months sterling Treasury bills.— (Renter. I
