MOVEMENT FOR ABOLITION. NEW YORP,', February 4. A movement which is considered 7/y its organisers to be the most determined step yet taken toward the repeal of the Volstead Act has been commenced by 19 members of Congress from New York State pledging their support. Over 1000 men and women attended a meeting called by originators of the movement. It was unanimously resolved to affiliate with the association against the prohibition movement. The resolution denied the truth of the charge that the enemies of prohibition are opposed to the enforcement of law. Tt denounced prohibition as an interference with tbe rights of the whole people. The leaders of the movement propose to begin immediately to form units in every constituency in the I'nited States. (Rciiter.)
