HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS
MONDAYS ATTRACTIONS. All sections of the public will be catered for on Monday when the attractions offered will be extensive and varied. Chief among them will be the second day's programme of the Auckland Trotting Club at Alexandra Park. Tennis enthusiasts will have their attention rivettcd on the New Zealand Lawn Tennis championship's at the. Stanley Street courts, while those who prefer cricket, will attend the Domain to watch the annual tournament promoted by the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association. The star item on Monday will be the match between the Christchiireh and Wellington teams. Those who trail the "jack' , will be interested in the Christmas bowling tournament, for the blue riband of the Auckland centre, and Monday will nee the intprspctional games in full swing. For i hose who do not care for sport there will be- excursions by both trains and ferries tv popular resorts and given fine weather the beaches will prove a strong magnet. On Monday, both afternoon and evening, the theatres will be open, and at the Town Ha 11 in the evening a big draw will bo the boxing contest between C. Pnrdy and It. Trnwcin.
