COLLISION IN WELLINGTON.

As the result of a collision between a motor ear and a tramear at the coiner of Wakelield and Lower Cuba Streets, serious injuries were sustained by (Gilbert Liindymore, occupant of the car. Less serious injuries were sustained by Mr. and .Mrs. Herbert Ellin and a small «4hi 1 rl. As the car was being driven along Wakctield Street. apparently the ilriver failed to notice the approach of a flown cur. The tranioar smashed right into the motor cur. which was badly knocked about. The child, who was an occupant of the cur. whs thrown clean on to the road, but fortunately escaped with slight injury. Mr. Landymorc sustained a broken kneecap, in addition to iiits about the fan- and hands. Owing to considerable difficulty in securing the services of an ambulance, the injured persons could not be taken to the hospital until nearly an hour after the mishap. Mr. anil Mrs. Kills and the child received cuts about the head.
