"WILFULLY CAUSED."

FIRES IN AN HOTEL. NO DIRECT EVIDENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The inquiry into the series of fires at the Albert.- Hotel concluded to-day. James Rainey, furrier, of Auckland, said he did not see Mrs. Haydon leaving a bedroom, although he saw her in the corridor between 8.30 and 9 p.m. Haydon met him before coming into Court, and asked what his evidence would be. Witness replied: "I can only tell what I know, and that's not much." The Court found that the fires were wilfully caused, but there was no evidence to show who was the originator of them.
