ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. The weather was fine for training at Ellerslie this morning. No. 1 grass track was available for fast work, aud it was in good order. BEFORE BREAKFAST. Marble Bell was the first out and ran seven furlongs in 1.30 2-5. Frowning Beauty covered half a mile in 51 4-5s Prettvman easily beat Polonett over four furlongs" in 525. a distance which Joy Ride, who was not doing his best, took 5i 1-os to traverse. ~ . - Boomcrday ran the last mile of a round ID John' Dix and Ard-na-lea ran five furlongs in 1.8. Royalform beat Torch in a five furlong sprint in 1.5 1-5. Archibald did the. last four furlongs of his work in 51s, Harrow Keck taking 55s for half a-mile. Master Doon defeated Kamehamcha over five furlongs in 1.5 3-5. Freshman easily beat Opaloid. over a round in 1.55 2-5. Broadwood, from almost a stand, ran seven furlongs in 1.31.
