/ The ordinary meeting of the Manukau County Council was held to-day, there being present: The chairman, Mr. F. M. Waters. Councillors "S. W. House. T. Speeehlay. .T. M. Davis, F. Grainger, U. 11. Morrison. V. Koarslev. Pakuranga Tost Office. —It was decided to apply to the Postmaster-CJcneral for a new post office fl.t l'likuriinj^M. Great South Road.—A letter was received from the Auckland Automobile Association drawing attention to the bad stare of Oreat South Road between Kelly's Corner and Brown's Road. Tumaki Kiver Bridge.—lt was reported with regard to the deputation to the Prime I Minister urging that assistance be given J towards the construction of a concrete bridge across the Tamaki River, that invos- , ! tigation had been made, and it was pro- ] posed to have an item iilaced on the Public ! ! Works Estimates for consideration.
