ACCIDENTS.
Mr. Arthur George Missen, a middleaged married man, employed by the Matai Sawmilling Company, of Owhango, was admitted to hospital on Monday suffering from severe injuries to his legs sustained- through a log falling on liiin while he was working at the mill. An examination of the injury disclosed that both legs had been broken just above the a.nkles. The injured man is progressing favourably. Neil McLean, while felling a tree at Oropi, sustained a compound fracture of his left leg and was removed to Tauranga Hospital. Stephen Bowers (46), a carpenter, sustained a broken collarbone and face abrasions through collision with a motor car while he was cycling on the Raglan Road. A senior grade footballer named Mitchell had a leg fractured through collision with another player at Otorohanga on Saturday.
