— i 1 TE AWAMUTU, Friday. The fancy dress ball, organised by the • ladles of Paterangl. in aid of the Anglican Church Fund, proved an unqualified success. A waltzing competition was held, in I which Mrs. T. Davis and Mr. r. Tarr were | awarded the first prize, with Miss Macky , c and Mr. S. Smith second. The prizes for i the best fancy costumes were won by Miss Strawbridge (Kairy) .and Mr. D. Wallan c (Arabian _.___ain). s
