OFFER OF PURCHASE. BRITAIN WILL DESTROY IT. LONDON, May 16. The "Daily Express" states that a remarkable sacrifice has been made in the cause of peace by the British Government. This is the refusal of an offer received' from Baltic interests to buy large quantities of" Britain's surplus war material. The Mac Donald Cabinet not only vetoed the sale, but made a general decision against all such sales. It is understood that the sum involved was f10,000,000.
