At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association it was decided to suspend the shield rules in favour of a tourament to be held at Chriatchurch under the management of the Canterbury Hockey Association, providing that more than four entries are received. One of the Auckland delegates (Mr. Ellijet) has been appointed to a seat on the executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association. The Wairarapa Association suggest that tournaments be held in connection I with the Norden Cup competition. A slight revision in the Junior Cup rules allows a player who bas not taken part in more than two senior matches to be eligible, provided that he is under, twenty-four years of age on June 1. I Auckland will regret to hear that Mr. P. N. Quartermam, who bas ably carried : out the duties of secretary to the New Zealand Hockey Association for the , past three years, has resigned the posi- ' l tion. I The matches set down for decision on ' I May 17 and 24, in which Grammar School j Training College and Dunholme are con- ! nected, have been postponed owing to i school holidays.
