am _ ■ - I MORRIS IS ACQUITTED. George Morris, the bankrupt builder, who was charged with having left New Zealand with money rightfully belonging to his creditors, with having concealed and removed £10 or upwards belonging to the estate, and with having incurred debts which he had no reasonable expectation of paying, was yesterday found not guilty in all counts by a jury at the Supreme Court. The foreman, in conveying the verdict, stated that the jury believed that Morris did not know his position until May o last year, which was three days before he went to Australia. Morris was thereupon discharged from custody.,. ~N i . '
