PALMERSTON DIVORCE CASE

PALMERSTON North, this day
X defended divorce action which is expected to last several days commenced at the Supreme Court this morning, the petitioner being Percy Phillip Stevens, auctioneer, Feilding, who is seeking dissolution of his marriage with Alice Juliet Stevens, on the grounds of alleged adultery with John G. Blackwell. taxidriver, of Marton, and also with Neil Whisker, railway employee, of Hamilton, formerly of Palmerston North. Further grounds were that the parties have been separated for more than three years. Respondent and corespondents deny the allegations of adultery. Respondent admits separation, which ehe alleges to be due to the conduct of petitioner. Counsel for petitioner said that he alleged that respondent committed adultery with Blackwell at Marton in or about March, April and May, 1923 and with Whisker in or about June July and August, 1923, at Palmerston North.
