OBITUARY.
OLD COLONIST'S DEATH.
Mrs. Mary Meehan who died on May 13, at the residence of her daughter. Mrs. Macowan, 6, West Ptreet, Ncwtnn arrived in Kew ZaaUnd by the ship ICnipress in ISGS, with licr i)ilsb;iml, Mr. Patrick Meehan. They saw the ups and downs of pioneer fettiers' live*, in the early days. They settled .at Thames, where deceased lived mil il six years ago. Mrs. Meehan is survived by four sons, three daughters, 2S grandchildren, and nine great grand-children. The interment took place nt Hillsborough cemetery.
