INCREASED RATE OF WAGES. The Wellington builders' and generil labourers' award was filed by tie Arbitration Court on Thursday. Tbe only matters left to the Court vet* wages and the term of the award. General labourers' rates were fi* e4 as follows: Tunnel work, 2/ per hoar; Quarry work, l/10i per hour; general labourers working, or employed at concrete work, sewer work, kerbing and channelling work, 1/9 per hour; asphalt and tar workers, 1/10 per hourThe award will remain in force for two years dating from April "24.
