HUGE VOLUME OF EXPORTS. Some idea of the enormous export trade of the Argentine was furnish* 6 by the Consul-General for New Zealand: Senor H. Bidone, when speaking at tin annual dinner of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Argentina in 1023 exported 6,813,402 quarters of beef, » 8 increase of nearly two millions over ths previous year. The total exported by Argentina and Uruguay in 1923 WW 8.249,0.0, and of this quantity, Great Britain took 6.276,434 quarters. In the same year, the Continent of Europe took 1,968,904 quarters of wheat from the two republics, a3 against 503,606 for the previous year. In the six principal products (wheat, linseed, oats, barley, rye. and canary seed), a total of 10.254.----000 tons was anticipated.
