An incident which throws a Hood of light on the attitude of sonic extremists in the Queensland Labour party towards the Union Jack is reported from Iloweii. At a recent meeting of the school committee correspondence was received from the Bowcn branch of the Labour party, stating that the branch look strong exception to the "Hag of another country being llown nnd worshipped daily by school children, in place of the flag of the country to which they and we belong." They stated that it was the daily practice for the Bowcn Stale school to hoist the Union Jack, and for the children to say, "1 honour my flag, 1 lo*-e mv country, and 1 will "always obey her laws." The branch considered this to be contrary to the regulations and the lighting platform of the Labour party.
