GIFT TO ORPHAN HOME.
COSTLY .STAINED GLASS WINDOWS. An offer to place stained glass windows in the thapel of the Orphan Home, at Papatoetoo. in memory of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. (.. P. Pierce, has been made by Mrs. Mary Williams, wife of the warden of St. John's College. The oiler has been gratefully accepted by the Orphan Home Trust Board, and the faculty from the Bishop giving the required permission for the erection of the windows applied for. The design | represents Christ blessing little children, ! and the work will be carried out by 1 Messrs. .lames Powell and Sons. Wliite- ' friars, London. When completed it will Ibe an artistic and valuable addition to the chapel. I Mr. Pierce, father of the donor, was ! for many years chairman of the Orphan ■ Home Trust Board. i ■■■■ ' ' - =■=■=•■
