BUTTER IN DEMAND. MARKET VERY FIRM. LONDON, September 7. The butter market is very firm and there is a good demand. New Zealand choicest is very scarce and is quoted at 184/ Secondaries are, quoted at 156/ to 170/, and Danish at 198/. The cheese market is firm and New Zealand is quoted at 122/.-(A. and, N.Z. Cable.) Dainty and Company, Ltd. advise havin" received the following cabled advice from their head office,, London, under date September 6:— Butter —Market firm but quiet. We quote: New Zealand, salted, 190/; g.a.q. i Australian, 172/; ]>anish, 194/; finest ; Australian! salted and unsalted, 182/. Cheese. —Market steady but quiet. JfeW Zealand, white and coloured, 122/.
