COUNCIL OF EDUCATION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", Friday. The Council of Education continued ts sittings' to-day. Mr. Campbell (Otago) expressed dissatisfaction with the constitution of the :ouncil. In his opinion the council mder present conditions hardly fulfilled ;he intentions of those who originally >et up the scheme. He moved that the :ouncil respectfully submit to the Minister that its constitution should be imended in such a way that it might oecome an administrative instead of an idvisory body. After a long discussion the motion was lost by 14 votes to 3.
