AMERICAN WHEAT SURPLUS.
STABILISING THE PRICES.
FARMERS OPPOSE POOL.
(Received 12.30 p.m.) CHICAGO, Juno 21. The Wheat Conference convened by the Governors of seven wheat-growing States rejected by a two to one vote a , resolution providing for the establishment of a grain corporation for the purpose of buying all American farmers' wheat when the price descended to 150 cents a bushel, or requesting the United States Treasury to furnish money to insure a definite price at 150 cents. Delegates voted that it was the sense of the ■convention that wheat prices should be stabilised, but by increase of domestic consumption rather than by Government subsidy.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
