The Hikurangi miners who went out on strike over a dispute as to- the principle on which the number of employees should be reduced will return to work to-morrow pending the result of a conference which is to be held on Thursday between representatives of the miners and mine owners. A telegram was read at the meeting of shareholders in Wilsons X.Z. Cement Co. this afternoon stating that the Miners' Union advised that work would be resumed in the coal mine to-morrow.
