WESTFIELD ODOURS.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—A conspicuous notice recently appeared in our daily papers warning the public against entering the upper reaches of the Manukau, the danger zone being indicated 'by a red flag (not the '"Red Feds" this time). This caution, indeed, is not to he disregarded, nnd it is to he hoped the Health Department will, in the interests of the district, take immediate action to remedy or at least modify tho nuisance emanating from these works,—l am, etc., ARTHUR CUMMINGS.
